With all the wedding planning and baby crafting going on, we haven't had a lot of time to get together for a good ol' fashioned ladies craft day in awhile! It was so nice when we realized we had a free afternoon on a rainy Victoria day with our friend Lindsay to work on something fun.
We decided to work on decorating plant pots, after being inspired by this pin.
- Plastic plant pots
- Thick rope
- LOTS of hot glue and a glue gun (seriously, we went through almost a package each!)
- Yarn or embroidery thread
We all started at the bottom of the pot by glueing down the end of the rope. As we wound the rope around the pot, we also wrapped the yarn or embroidery thread around the rope, gluing the two down every once and awhile.
The best part about crafting with a group is starting with the same idea and supplies, then seeing how differently each creative project turns out!
Neon green yarn
Thin blue embroidery thread
White and light green embroidery thread
Eight different colours of yarn
Teal embroidery thread
Copper metallic yarn
This project, while quite simple, was actually quite time consuming. It didn't require a ton of focus though so it was a good project for getting lots of chat time in!
